Use Bold Text in Google Plus
If you want to write bold text in the Google Plus status, comments or message then start your text with star “*” and end with “*” (start without the quote). For example “*This is Bold*” will appear “This is Bold“.
Use Italic Text in Google Plus
For writing italic text in the Google Plus status, comments or message then you must start your text with the underscore ‘_’ and end with ‘_’ without the quote. For example “_This is Italic Text_” will show as “This is Italic Text“.
Use Strike Through Text in Google Plus>
For use strike through text in Google Plus then you should start your text with minus sign ‘-‘ and end with ‘-‘ without the quote. For example “-This is Strikethrough Text-” will result in “This is Strikethrough Text“.

- Bold with Italic Text in Google Plus: Start your text with star together with an underscore ‘*_’ and end with ‘_*’ without the quote. For example “*_Bold Italic Text_*” or “*_Bold Italic Text_*” will appear as “Bold Italic Text“.
- Use all three of them, Bold, Italic and Strike Through: For this start your text with star together with underscore and minus sign like this ‘*_-‘ and end with ‘-_*’ without the quote. For example “*_-This is messed up-_*” or “-_*This is messed up*_-” will result in “This is messed up“.
As you see you can combine them as you want.

For the lazy people like you and me; a largehearted man named Paul Sperry have made a simple and easy to use chrome browser extension for using bold, italic, strike through text in Google Plus. You can get the extension named “Post Editor for Google+” from chrome web-store and if you have any doubt it is free.
After installing the extension restart the chrome browser and log in to your Google Plus account. Try to write a status and you will see buttons below the box for bold, italic and strike-through. Also, there are several symbols added too.
Just select any portion of your status and just click the buttons. It will automatically add the required symbols in the status. For example; if you click on the bold button it will add star sign ( * ) at start and end of the selected post. Once done just click “Share”.
